For months now, I’ve been looking for the *perfect* sunglasses, and it’s been a long, neverending search. But then last week, I finally fell head over heels for these beautiful Prada sunnies… Round, thick frame, great colour and not overly expensive (£190) – complete and utter perfection! Thank god I finally got a bit of sunshine here on my Easter break in Portugal, so I could pop ‘em on! Love!

Polaroid Sunglasses are celebrating a remarkable 75th birthday this year, and to commemorate the occasion, they’ve created a range of “heritage” sunglasses, based on frames from original Polaroid designs dating from the 1930s to the 1980s. In addition, to mark the special year, they’ve also designed a new aviator frame called Seventy-Five, which I got to take home. I haven’t had aviators in a long, long time and I love the retro style and the anti-glare polarized glasses (which all […]
When I got an invite to come play with YSL’s latest sneaker and sunglasses collections at their showroom, I jumped at the chance. Ok, so the sneakers were men’s and didn’t exactly fit my teeny tiny size 3 feet, but they’re super cool (and not overly expensive) and who doesn’t like trying on every pair of sunglasses and taking pictures of it without a pushy salesperson hanging around? YSL’s latest SS11 accessories are accompanied with 2 beautiful little videos… Below […]
I’m off to Australia next week for a couple of weeks, and I’ve got holidays on my mind. The sun may have just started coming out around here, but suddenly I have to start packing bikinis, sundresses and sandals, and I’m panicking. So I’ve spent a lot of time online looking at options this week, as I’m sure you can tell! 1. Hervé Léger Printed Bandage Dress, now £568 (was £1,420), from The Outnet. Ok, so this isn’t quite beachwear, […]
Liberty x RetroSuperfuture Poppy & Daisy Print, available here. Spring is coming (I just FEEL it) and so my eternal quest for the perfect sunglasses continues. The latest contender is the second collaboration between Liberty and übercool sunglass gods RetroSuperfuture. This time, they’ve transformed their classic Lucia model and added some Liberty florals to it. Very retro, very cool. I especially love the floral boxes they come in. The glasses are £130. They’re on my list. Liberty x RetroSuperfuture Pepper […]
Image courtesy of Swhood A while ago, I saw a picture of a model wearing wooden sunglasses. For the life of me I can’t remember where, who or when, but I’ve become obsessed with the idea. So, after a little bit of research, I’ve found 3 wonderful makers of wooden sunglasses. Of the many, many, many things on my shopping wishlist, wooden sunglasses have just gone to the very top. Capital’s Ellie and Bonnie / Clyde models One of my […]
I am notoriously camera-shy. Just ask Marian Kihogo, the poor girl has been waiting for me to take some picture of myself for weeks (I promise I will soon!). I’ve often wanted to post something I was wearing or tried on, but I just hated the idea of putting myself out there even more than I already do. I’ve always admired other bloggers who do so, but it’s not really for me. Not yet. Then yesterday, I fell in love. […]

After a wonderful 6 days in New York I’m loaded with a suitcase full of purchases and new ideas, met some really wonderful people, spread the AlexLoves love. I’m also suffering from a pretty bad jetlag, so forgive me for being a bit slow in the next few days! At Phillip Lim‘s Mercer Street store I fell in love with the 3.1 Phillip Lim Eyewear, which I’d never really seen before. Manufactured by NY-based company Modo, I decided to pay […]
