My love for all-black outfits is no secret: it makes me feel happy and comfy and it always works for any occasion. I love it so much, I’d say about three quarters of my wardrobe is black, so in order to keep it interesting I like to play around with details. Different textures and accessories can make all the difference, which is why I like this outfit so much. My simple black Sandro sweater is definitely a whole lot more […]

When I was 18, I went through a bit of a skater girl phase. Trucker caps and my checked Vans slip-ons were standard attire (thank god Twitter wasn’t around back then, heh?). I loved those Vans, I wore them so often they had that faded, vintage feel to them, the kind of look you simply can’t buy. My mom, however, didn’t agree. She continues to deny it to this day, but one day they disappeared, and I’m convinced she threw […]
If you’ve seen me in the past couple of weeks, you’ve probably seen my new bling. I ordered these ASOS Revive Mismatched Hero Rings on a bit of a whim, maybe as a joke even, despite not being much of a ring-wearer at all. These are the opposite of what I’ll usually wear, anything but subtle – they are totally in your face, and weirdly, I love it. Not only do I feel a little badass wearing them, they’ve become […]
London Fashion Week is still in full swing, so apologies for the lack of updates as I’ve been busy attending the shows, the parties and generally enjoying the amazing vibe around London right now. For the first time, I’ve decided to share my outfits with you – as per usual I’ve been sticking to my beloved black, so perhaps they’re not the most groundbreaking, but it’s what makes me feel comfortable. I’ve also been getting my hair and make up done […]
If you’re still stuck for Christmas shopping ideas, the lovely folks over at Levi’s have compiled a great little gift guide for both men and women, in stores and online now. I was asked by Levi’s to pick a couple of pieces from the Christmas collection and style them my own way. I chose a cosy, thick-knitted cardigan (perfect for cold winter nights!) and a pair of Curve ID jeans. Considering I’ve not actually worn jeans in a couple of […]
The third and final look from my Summer Style session with The Outnet and Abi Marvel was the Festival Look. The 6 of us aren’t exactly wellies-and-poncho types – or as Ella from Coco’s Tea Party put it: “The only festival I’ve ever been to is the Vogue Festival” – so our wardrobe choices aren’t exactly Glastonbury, but you get the idea. My look was based around this incredible Acne leather skirt, so buttery soft I didn’t want to take […]
This post comes a bit later than planned, but here’s my second look from the Summer Styling session at The Outnet. The Outnet I attended a while back. This one was meant to be a day look, girls going for (a slightly overdressed) lunch. I chose this amazing Felder Felder skater dress I saw coming down the catwalk just a few seasons ago. I didn’t add too many things to my look, preferring to let the dress do all the talking. […]
When an email arrives in your inbox inviting you over to The Outnet HQ, choose from all of their clothes, pose and hang out with your friends for the afternoon, you say yes. Yes yes yes. Last week Abi Marvel hosted an afternoon of Summer Style at The Outnet, with fellow bloggers Fashionista Barbie, I’m Not A Celebrity, The Fash Pack, Coco’s Tea Party and The Elgin Avenue. We had to choose looks around 3 different themes – evening, day […]
I’ve never worn flatforms before now. In fact, up until recently, I can’t say I liked them much (specifically the word flatform, it’s just silly, right?). Anyway, when StylistPick asked me to do “7 days with Stylistpick”, where I style one of their shoes every day for a week, I decided it would be a perfect opportunity to test this trend out. I’m now on day 4 (would be more, but trying to get my mom to take my picture […]
For months now, I’ve been looking for the *perfect* sunglasses, and it’s been a long, neverending search. But then last week, I finally fell head over heels for these beautiful Prada sunnies… Round, thick frame, great colour and not overly expensive (£190) – complete and utter perfection! Thank god I finally got a bit of sunshine here on my Easter break in Portugal, so I could pop ‘em on! Love!
I am probably one of the few people around who is terribly excited the hot weather is finally over. First of all, because the sun is not my friend, second of all, because I’ve been dying to take my new Osman Yousefzada wintercoat out for a spin!
This is by far the nicest coat I’ve ever owned – navy, wool, oversized A-line shape, handy little pockets and 3-quarter length sleeves. The design is so beautiful and delicate, you can almost just wear it as a dress.
A while back I was asked by personal organiser geniuses Filofax if I wanted to participate in a little challenge: I could choose any of their range and style and shoot them any way I liked. Challenge accepted. I chose the colourful, cheerful Apex range, as they were a little different from what I’ve come to expect from Filofax – a lot brighter and more cheerful, and the little contrasting colourpops provided by the elastic closures are bang on trend […]
