I don’t usually cover ad campaigns, but I wanted to share this one with you, simply because I love it. Michelle Williams has just been unveiled as the new face of Louis Vuitton AW13 accessories ads. I’ve adored Michelle since her Dawson’s Creek days (I was huge fan of the show!) and she’s really become a big style crush of mine over the past couple of years – her fresh, wearable, down to earth style is right up my street […]

A couple of days ago I stumbled across these wonderful Designer Drugs images by LA artist Desire Obtain Cherish. I love when artists take every day objects and transform them into something else, something with meaning, something worth thinking about. Or perhaps it is just what it is – a fun image. Either way, I think they’re great. Wouldn’t it just be great to take a Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton or YSL pill? All images © Desire Obtain Cherish
Morning folks! Today is the first day of the Dorothy Perkins Denim Challenge, and the first day I’m back in jeans after a nearly a year without. It has been a challenge all the way, first to get my booty into the size jeans I hoped it was (it wasn’t), then realising I didn’t really know how to take style pics without a photographer. Long story short, there was a ladder, a stack of books and some really questionable photography […]
Last night the Louis Vuitton Maison finally opened on Bond Street after many, many moons. Yes, there were many celebs and the store is beyond beautiful and Donna Summer played at the after-party, but you’ll probably have read this somewhere else by now, so let’s not repeat ourselves here. What I found most interesting about the event were the clothes worn by the celebs. Not in a “who wore it best” kinda way (Gemma Arterton, in case you were wondering), […]
First off, I’d like to say a massive thank you for all your great reactions on the handbag post. A few of you suggested some great options for the bag I should be getting. It really got me thinking about the importance of getting a classic bag and not falling in the trap of the It-Bag again. The Classic Chanel flap has to be it, really. Timeless, still modern and oh so chic. Every girl should own one at some […]
Last night New York saw the annual Costume Institute Gala Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or in short, the Met Gala. If you don’t know what it is, consider this the Oscars of fashion, hosted by the Queen herself, Anna Wintour (above, in Chanel). Everyone who’s anyone in fashion vies for an invite to this benefit, designers will save their most showstopping pieces to dress the supermodels or actresses accompanying them on the evening. “Who are you wearing?” […]
Most of the SS10 ad campaigns have gradually been coming in over the past few weeks, but up until now none of them have really been very exciting. The highly anticipated Lara Stone/Louis Vuitton campaign fell a bit flat in my opionion (although it’s a big improvement over Madonna, who’s now jumped ship to D&G). Burberry stuck to their guns and chose Emma Watson once again, this time posing with her handsome little brother Alex. Cute, but same old, same […]
Not only does Santa really exist, but the man has exquisite taste, as he brought me the Louis Vuitton Leopard Sprouse Scarf this year. In honour of the best present ever, I made a little collage of other fashionable leopardprints on my wishlist. FYI, the Marc Jacobs and Louboutin are SS10, Ashish is AW10 and Louis Vuitton and Converse are permanent collections.
