A sneak peek at Maison Martin Margiela for H&M

A sneak peek at Maison Martin Margiela for H&M

By now, you’ll probably have seen pictures of the long-awaited Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with H&M, so it’s not really a surprise anymore, but seeing the collection in real life really brings home how different this collection is, so here are some of my thoughts: When I first heard MMM would be working with H&M, I was a little worried. Previously, the big brand collaborations have always managed to translate the label’s aesthetics to introduce it to the the masses […]

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

I was given a little sneak peek of the full Anna dello Russo collection for H&M, and I’m happy to report it’s as bonkers as expected. Featuring tons of jewellery, sunglasses, shoes and bags, AdR has gone completely over the top with the bling and the gold, and whilst I’m usually of the less-is-more persuasion, I couldn’t quite help myself – it made me smile, and that makes me like it. We all know and love Anna for her outlandish […]

H&M Launches Sports Pop Up in Covent Garden and Westfield Stratford

H&M Launches Sports Pop Up in Covent Garden and Westfield Stratford

Olympic Fever is officially here, that much you probably already know, London is sports-crazy right now. Exercising has never been sexier and it seems H&M agrees. Yesterday I went to the launch of the H&M’s inaugural pop up shop in Covent Garden, dedicated just to their sportswear range. Being a recently-converted gymbunny, I’m constantly on the lookout for nice looking yet functional sportswear, and H&M’s range is just that. And a fraction of the price of the big labels, if […]

Marni for H&M!

Marni for H&M!

Yes, it’s TRUE! H&M have just announced they will be working with Italian label Marni on yet another incredible designer collaboration. In selected stores around the world on March 8th, it will be a capsule collection for men and women with Marni’s trademark prints, fabrics, and lots of colour. I for one, might have to join the queue for the first time, as I’m a massive Marni fan. I’m surprised designer Consuelo Castiglioni chose to do it, as she’s famously […]

H&M’s OTHER Collaboration…

H&M’s OTHER Collaboration…

Amidst all the H&M x VERSACE madness this week, an email about another H&M collaboration almost passed me by. This time, the high street giant has joined forces with Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, Editor-in-Chief of fashion bible 10 Magazine, for a small curated collection for sale exclusively at the new H&M Selfridges London concession. The capsule collection has a strong, minimalist feel to it, with lots of great pieces that allow for a bit of mix & match, and work as both […]

First look at Versace for H&M

First look at Versace for H&M

We’re still over a month away from the official launch of the Versace for H&M collection, but I can already share a preview with you of what to expect on November 17th. As you can tell from the lookbook images below, the collection is very Versace: very colourful, slick, sexy and always balancing that thin line between genius and tacky. It’s definitely a bit of a Marmite collection – you either will love it or hate it. I adore some […]

Versace for H&M!

Versace for H&M!

This is your first look at the hot-off-the-press, just-announced collaboration with Versace and H&M…! Just when you thought they couldn’t get any bigger names, they’ve attracted no one other than miss Donatella herself to design the high street brand’s latest designer collection. In selected stores (around 300 worldwide) November 17th and online, the collection will consist of a capsule collection for both women and men and, for the first time, a home collection. There will also be an extra pre-spring […]

Swedish Hasbeens 2.0

Swedish Hasbeens 2.0

One of the few trends I’ve never quite understood were the clogs. Massive last summer, still big this winter and hanging around this summer, this is one trend I’ll happily see the back of. So I was pretty surprised when I saw the AW11 collection for Swedish Hasbeens – probably the trendsetters for this craze – at the Varg press days: I didn’t hate them. Fresh off their much-hyped collaboration with H&M, it looks like Swedish Hasbeens have moved into […]

H&M announces collaboration with Swedish Hasbeens

H&M announces collaboration with Swedish Hasbeens

Just when you thought clogs had gone… Fresh off its very successful collaboration with Lanvin, H&M have just announced their latest collaboration with cult shoe (clog) label Swedish Hasbeens. Swedish Hasbeens have created 3 styles of of their wooden-soled shoes especially for H&M. According to the press release there’s a gladiator-style wedge, with three buckle ankle straps and a progression of straps going over the foot, all sitting on a wooden wedge. This comes in cream, tan on a pale […]

Sonia Rykiel pour H&M carnival

Sonia Rykiel pour H&M carnival

Merely weeks after the Jimmy Choo for H&M launch (I wanted to write fiasco, but that’s my personal taste getting in the way), H&M staged a massive show to celebrate the collaboration with French legend Sonia Rykiel at the Grand Palais in Paris last night. If H&M has been feeling the credit crunch, then you wouldn’t be able to tell looking at the show. Streamed live online worldwide and produced by legendary (Belgian) Etienne Russo, no costs were spared for […]
