COACH x The Sartorialist

COACH x The Sartorialist

Street style photographers working with big brands may be nothing new, but I do love this collaboration between Scott Schulman of The Sartorialist and American luxury handbag brand Coach. To celebrate the launch of the AW12 Legacy Collection, the street style snapper shot a series of photographs featuring some of his favourite New Yorkers carrying their choice of bag from the Legacy range. The result feels more real and genuine than a normal ad campaign – less styles, more girl-next-door, […]

Introducing… accessories label Kzeniya

Introducing… accessories label Kzeniya

I must admit that when I was offered a bag from Kzeniya’s new AW12 range, I’d never heard of the label. But with A-list celebs spotted with the bags all around the globe, and now with Selfridges stocking exclusive editions of the collection, I think it’s time to take notice and introduce you to this great London-based label! Kzeniya is a young accessories label founded by Kzeniya Oudenot, a St Martin’s graduate who earned her stripes working on costume and […]

Bracher Emden x Bora Aksu AW12

Bracher Emden x Bora Aksu AW12

I first spotted them at during Bora Aksu‘s AW12 show during London Fashion Week and haven’t been able to put them out of my head: Bracher Emden‘s bags are simply divine. The futuristic tube-like leather creations (for lack of better words to describe it) are both fun and feminine come in a clutch and a tote, exclusive to Harrods from August 31st, in a variety of colours. So when I was offered to borrow the gorgeous tote to take with […]

A trip to Newcastle with Chamilia

A trip to Newcastle with Chamilia

Two weeks ago I was invited by charm bracelet brand Chamilia to go visit their UK headquarters up in Newcastle, to coincide with Newcastle Fashion Week (yes, there is a Newcastle Fashion Week – I was as surprised as you are). After a 3 hour train ride from London we arrived in chilly and wet Newcastle, were whisked off the offices for some lunch and the opportunity to design our own bracelets. I’ve never had a charm bracelet in my […]

Bonjour, my new Prada sunnies!

Bonjour, my new Prada sunnies!

For months now, I’ve been looking for the *perfect* sunglasses, and it’s been a long, neverending search. But then last week, I finally fell head over heels for these beautiful Prada sunnies… Round, thick frame, great colour and not overly expensive (£190) – complete and utter perfection! Thank god I finally got a bit of sunshine here on my Easter break in Portugal, so I could pop ‘em on! Love!

Hermès Pop-Up Scarf Boutique at Harrods

Hermès Pop-Up Scarf Boutique at Harrods

In honour of 20 years of Hermès at Harrods, the luxury label has opened a pop up celebrating one of their most iconic accessories (no, not the Birkin!): the silk scarf. The luxurious printed silk scarves have been a vital part of Hermès since 1937 and have been a coveted must-have for generations of women (and men) ever since. The pop up aims to attract a younger crowd, with stylists on hand to show you the scarves’ endless styling possibilities. […]

Alex Loves… Sophie Hulme

Alex Loves… Sophie Hulme

Last night I fell truly deeply, madly in love. Again. This time, it’s with Sophie Hulme, a young London designer with lots of buzz around her, and at the Cube SS12 Press Day last night, I discovered why. Her simple pieces are defined by an emphasis on detail and quality. She takes inspiration from menswear tailoring to create some truly classic and timeless investment pieces to be worn for years to come, without ever being “last season”. Hulme’s collections focus […]

Discovering Thomas Lyte

Discovering Thomas Lyte

You may not yet be familiar with British luxury brand Thomas Lyte, but I think that’s all about to change. Founded in 2007 by Kevin Baker, the brand is steadily growing and impressing, with a gorgeous new flagship shop in the Burlington Arcade and an ever increasing fanbase. Yesterday I got a little tour of the shop and the collection, and fell in love. The part of the Thomas Lyte brand ethos I like the most is its focus on […]

Sneakers and Sunnies at YSL

Sneakers and Sunnies at YSL

When I got an invite to come play with YSL’s latest sneaker and sunglasses collections at their showroom, I jumped at the chance. Ok, so the sneakers were men’s and didn’t exactly fit my teeny tiny size 3 feet, but they’re super cool (and not overly expensive) and who doesn’t like trying on every pair of sunglasses and taking pictures of it without a pushy salesperson hanging around? YSL’s latest SS11 accessories are accompanied with 2 beautiful little videos… Below […]

Green with envy for the new Mulberry Alexa…

I thought I was over the Mulberry Alexa, but then some genius decided to make it in a bigger size and in some wonderful colours like this “Green Cabbage” and now I’m in love with it all over again. How many day until Christmas? Hmmm… Available now from Selfridges. Oversized Alexa, £925 and the regular Alexa, £785.
