Tilda Swinton to front Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Campaign

Chanel have just released the first preview of the campaign to accompany the launch of this year’s Métiers d’Art collection. Shown in a remote castle near Edinburgh back in December (I was there, you can read my stories about that incredible show here and here), the collection was inspired by all things Scottish – both its history and its incredible craftsmanship. The images will (as always) be shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself and will feature actress Tilda Swinton.  “Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection. She is of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance.” – Karl Lagerfeld.

By the looks of this sneak preview it will be hauntingly beautiful – just like the collection itself.
