Georgia Hardinge River Island Design ForumAfter Julian J. Smith and William Tempest, River Island’s Design Forum initiative have announced their latest collaboration with Georgia Hardinge.

As part of the collaboration, Georgia has designed a 14-piece collection to go in stores, a spectacular one-off dress (above), which was used in a short fashion film to be launched during fashion week. The dress will be auctioned off for charity later.

Last week was the shoot of the short film, directed by Alex Turvey, and I was very honoured to be asked to do some exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of the film (which I can’t show you just yet) – it will be incredible, and launched during On/Off at London Fashion Week. I’ve seen the main dress and the high street collection up close, and I can assure you, they are magnificent. The capsule collection is very true to Georgia’s main collection, except cheaper and a bit more suitable for daily wear – win win! There’s a print which runs throughout most of the collection, in structured dresses, skirts, tops and leggings. I can’t wait for it to share my behind-the-scenes snaps with you! Until then, all I can leave you with is this:
