Postcards from Marrakech

Over Christmas I spent 3 short but lovely days in sunny Marrakech. It was my first – and definitely not last – time in the city, and although I barely scratched the surface of what there is to see and do, it definitely is one of the most colourful, photogenic cities I’ve ever visited… Here’s a few of my impressions!

So wonderful! I can’t wait to go back! This might be a silly question, but did you have to ask permission to take photos or is it generally ok now? I was really wary last time after being warned it’s against Muslim culture to capture a human or animal in a picture and as a result hardly got any pictures of anything other than buildings but would love to do so this time (without offending anyone!).

  I never asked permission (or even think about it, to be honest) and it never seemed to be a problem. We had a guide join us on our tour of the souks and he never mentioned anything about it, so I don’t think it’s a problem at all. Snap away! xxx
