Karl Lagerfeld is adding another notch to his designer belt, with the launch of his first, much-anticipated watch collection, in collaboration with Fossil.
As expected, the collection consists of some very strong, Karl-esque pieces, featuring the Karl Zip (above), which features leather and zip detailing. Then there’s also the Karl Chain and the Karl 7 (his lucky number). Of the collaboration with Fossil Karl said: “You cannot buy time but you can get a beautiful watch to measure time without spending a fortune.”
There’s not many visuals available other than the ones I’ve posted, but I’m liking the look of the watches a lot. I especially like the idea of the Karl Zip, as it doubles as a great bracelet, so it’s a win-win.
The launch collection will feature limited edition packaging and specially engraved case backs, with prices starting from $150 – $595, exclusively in selected shops in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as online, from February 28, 2013.
