Vogue’s Fashion Night Out 2012 Preview

Vogue’s Fashion Night Out is back, and my god, it is bigger than ever. Quite frankly, there’s so much going on it’s hard to keep track, so here are some of my picks of the night! I’ll be around trying to attend as many as I can, so make sure you follow me on Twitter (@alexxxje) to know my whereabouts and definitely come say hello if you’re around! For all details, like adresses etc, please check the official VFNO site. This is just a small pick – you can find many more events featured on the Alex Loves facebook page!

One of my favourite independent boutiques Wolf & Badger are having a treasure hunt at their new Dover Street store. Oh, and cocktail flavoured ice creams!!! Wolf & Badger FNO

Alexander McQueen are having a party in store, and if you register in advance, you’ll get the opportunity to choose an envelope from the Wonderwall, which contains lots of prizes like handbags, skull scarves and the new wrap scarf bracelet being launched that night (see below!). Don’t forget to register though!

Agent Provocateur are having a party in their Soho boutique. Great opportunity to go see the new collections and have a little nosey around if you’re perhaps too scared to walk in otherwise – I went last year and had a blast :)

Topshop will have live music, raffle, nail-art and lots of other things going on! Always fun.

My favourite event last year was at luxury leather brand Thomas Lyte in the Burlington Arcade, where I was illustrated, whilst having a drink and a browse. I’ve had my illustration framed and it still sits proudly on my desk. Original and a little bit of a break from the craziness of Bond Street. The Burlington Arcade will play host to burlesque and acrobatic acts as well.

Acne are keeping it Swedish with Absolut Vodka and Swedish music

Coach will be playing host to my fellow bloggers Fashion Foie Gras, Liberty London Girl and Coco’s Tea Party. There will be drinks and a limited-edition ‘Duffle’ Customization Kit. Should be fun!

Hermès will be hosting a night of scarf styling and swing dancing!

Other great events:
Shoe designer extraordinaire Nicholas Kirkwood has partnered with Samsung and he will be doing a Q&A on the Samsung Stage (which will be in the middle of Bond Street) from 8pm, where he will unveil the exclusive cases he designed for (and using!) the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. I will be there!

Mulberry will be having a party in their Bond Street store, with nail bars, goodiebags, cocktails and nibbles, hosted by Vogue UK’s editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman and Mulberry’s Emma Hill.

Head to Westfield London where many of the shops will be participating, as well as a a fashion show from 7pm in the Atrium starring Yasmin and Amber Le Bon and Lizzy Jagger in front of a VIP front row.
