I told you about the Chanel beauty pop up in Covent Garden last week, and on Monday I was lucky enough to be invited to the opening of it. The pop up is situated in Covent Garden’s iconic piazza, and is Chanel’s first ever beauty-only pop up, featuring professional make up artists and a nail bar.
Stepping inside a Chanel boutique can sometimes be a bit intimidating, and what I love about the pop up is that it’s in the heart of a tourist area and open to everyone – from curious passers by to hardcore beauty fans.
At the launch I had my make up done and got a little tutorial in how to recreate Chanel’s framed nail look as spotted in its last couture show. I love how the make up and nail polishes are creatively displayed around the shop, almost turning into little works of art, and turning the shop into a beauty gallery.
Outside the shop there’s also tons going on. There will be performers (like the mime artist in the pictures below) and special Chanel black cabs painted in some of the new nail polish colours – I’ll take the Blue Boy cab, please! The pop up is like a little Chanel beauty wonderland, and if you’re even half as much of a fan of their products as I am, you’ll adore the boutique!
Best of all, the pop up isn’t going anywhere anytime soon; it stays in Covent Garden until late December, so no need to rush right away! The PR told me there will be a range of events, exclusive launches and workshops throughout its stay, so make sure you keep up to date with what’s going on!
