Two weeks ago I was invited by charm bracelet brand Chamilia to go visit their UK headquarters up in Newcastle, to coincide with Newcastle Fashion Week (yes, there is a Newcastle Fashion Week – I was as surprised as you are). After a 3 hour train ride from London we arrived in chilly and wet Newcastle, were whisked off the offices for some lunch and the opportunity to design our own bracelets. I’ve never had a charm bracelet in my life (apparently I missed out, I’ve been told), so trying to create my own for the first time was a challenge, to say the least. Too much choice, too little time.
Despite the fact that I’d already spent some time creating a design online beforehand on the Chamilia website, seeing all the charms together in real life made it a lot harder. In the end, I decided on a simple “Alex Loves” on a leather bracelet, whilst the other bloggers went for slightly more daring and exciting choices.
Afterwards, we were given a little shopping tour around the city by one of the girls from Newcastle Fashion Week, showing us some of the city’s best boutiques and architecture – I had no idea Newcastle was such a beautiful city! Sadly the walk was dampened by the rain, so we just ended up in the bar instead, before the long journey home. Am sad to report that I did not spot any of the Geordie Shore castmembers, to my great disappointment.
Thank you Chamilia and Push PR for the lovely trip!
