Last night saw the launch of Louise Gray for Brora in the London flagship store. This probably was one of the most intriguing collaborations I’d ever heard of: Louise Gray, known for her absolutely outlandish, colourful, over-the-top creations (which I love), and Brora, known for their quite classic cashmere clothing.
The result? A 11-piece capsule collection which meets right in the middle: you can definitely recognise the Louise Gray aesthetic in a very toned down way, and whereas for Brora this is a slightly more contemporary and colourful range than we’re used to seeing. Sweaters, cardigans and a sweaterdress are accompanied by a bunch of accessories like scarves, socks, gloves and hats, all in super soft cashmere, all in bright colours and a bit of patchwork.
This is probably one of the most unlikely collaborations ever – at the party in Chelsea last night you could spot the Louise Gray clan from miles away, looking slightly out of place between the West London posse – and yet somehow it works. The collection is exclusively available in the Brora Flagship store and online shop as of today. All limited edition, of course.
