People watching at Frieze Art Fair 2011

Yesterday I attended the preview of the prestigious Frieze Art Fair in Regent’s Park. Here’s what you should know about art fairs: other than the fashion weeks they are the best place to spot Fashion with a capital F. Do you ever wonder who actually buys those incredible clothes and accessories you see on catwalks and in magazines? It’s the art folk. Well booted and accessorised, wearing some amazing – but always understated – designers, this is one of the most fashionable crowds you’ll ever see.

So yesterday, whilst everyone else was admiring the art (don’t worry, I did too), I spent most of my time excitedly watching them instead. The shoes! The bags! The incredible new-season outfits (mostly black, but always so good) – both men and women really raised the fashion stakes.

Here’s a few of my highlights of my visit (part of which is sponsered by COS, have a look at their video here.) If you’re in London until Sunday, I do suggest you pay a visit. Not only is it great for seeing some museum-quality artworks and people spotting (saw Natalia Vodianova!), food and drink is provided by Hix, Sketch and Gail’s to name a few, so it’s a great day out all together.

I still have the sculpture park outside to do, which is free for everyone, so may update this post at a later time to include some snaps from there.

P.S. I may have snuck in some pics of my parents in this post. Not telling you who though :)
