Outfit Post: Helloooo winter!
I am probably one of the few people around who is terribly excited the hot weather is finally over. First of all, because the sun is not my friend, second of all, because I’ve been dying to take my new Osman Yousefzada wintercoat out for a spin!
This is by far the nicest coat I’ve ever owned – navy, wool, oversized A-line shape, handy little pockets and 3-quarter length sleeves. The design is so beautiful and delicate, you can almost just wear it as a dress. I (and when I say I, I mean my mom) bought it at Matches, and although it was very expensive, I think the perfect, timeless wintercoat is worth it, because you’ll wear it every day of winter for years to come. My previous one, Miu Miu, I happily wore for the past 5 winters and was worth every penny.
What I like about this coat is the versatility of it. Because of the shorter sleeves you can play with different colours and materials underneath. I also like clinching the waist with a belt, again something you can play around with.
In these pictures I’m also wearing boots for the first time in years, as with my tricky short legs it’s been impossible to find boots that fit me. Thanks to Duo, who make their boots in 11 different calf sizes, I now am the proud owner of boots, and I cannot wait to walk around in them. But more on Duo in my next post!
Coat: Osman
Sweater: French Connection
Boots: Duo
Yellow Belt and Bracelet: Anglo Leather from the amazing Darkroom, a new discovery.
P.S. I’m aware I look miserable in the pictures, but I’m currently ill, so this is the most cheerful I could do :(
