First look at Versace for H&M

We’re still over a month away from the official launch of the Versace for H&M collection, but I can already share a preview with you of what to expect on November 17th. As you can tell from the lookbook images below, the collection is very Versace: very colourful, slick, sexy and always balancing that thin line between genius and tacky. It’s definitely a bit of a Marmite collection – you either will love it or hate it. I adore some of the pieces of the womenswear collection, love how true to the brand’s core aesthetic they’ve stayed, but I’m not so sure about the menswear… It could be me, but it takes a very special man to be able to pull off Versace, and I’m dreading the sight of hordes of men clad in a geometric zebraprint or fuchsia outfit. But then again, that could just be me.

  I was love-love-loving the women’s collection, but sadly I was laugh-laugh-laughing when I scrolled down to the man’s collection.
  
  It takes a special man indeed. The kind of man that will wear all-the-way-down-to-the-shoes pink tuxedo’s and black vests with ocean-meets-tiger printed sleeves. You gotta give it to Donatella, one will always recognize the Versace touch :-)

  Both mens and womens are a mixed bag! Some I love and some I really loathe. Enjoying the use of studs and graphic prints though. x
