Independent charity Trees For Cities has called upon the incredible talent that is Giles Deacon to create a limited edition T-shirt for the participants of the 2011 Tree-Athlon.
On September 17th, Trees For Cities is holding its annual Tree-Athlon, which help raise awareness and money for the charity, which aims to beautify our urban spaces through tree planting, community-led design, education and training initiatives. The Tree-Athlon is a 5km run around Battersea Park, where each runner gets to take home a free sapling tree to take home and plant, and now also a limited edition Giles Deacon T-shirt.
About the collaboration, Giles says: ‘I come from the Lake District where nature is an integral part of growing up so I’m really pleased to be a part of the Trees for Cities 2011 Tree-Athlon, helping to raise awareness and money to plant trees in our inner city environment.‘
