You may not yet be familiar with British luxury brand Thomas Lyte, but I think that’s all about to change. Founded in 2007 by Kevin Baker, the brand is steadily growing and impressing, with a gorgeous new flagship shop in the Burlington Arcade and an ever increasing fanbase. Yesterday I got a little tour of the shop and the collection, and fell in love.

The part of the Thomas Lyte brand ethos I like the most is its focus on quality local manufacturing – with some of the largest leather and silver workshops based right here in London, the brand gets to oversee every part of the production process, something most luxury brands sadly no longer seem to do. Because of this, the seasonal collections are pretty small, but beautiful, and there’s an endless choice of classic leather pieces for just about everyone. This also means most items can be customised, like embossed leather or engraved silver.


What I loved especially were gorgeous leather board games and the exclusive poker set – the perfect gifts for the person who has everything. From cufflinks to travel bags to iPad cases to the most amazing silverware, there’s probably something there for every budget, my new go-to place for Christmas gifts! Yes, I know… I said the C-word. It’s 119 days away, deal with it.
