A while back I was asked by personal organiser geniuses Filofax if I wanted to participate in a little challenge: I could choose any of their range and style and shoot them any way I liked. Challenge accepted.

I chose the colourful, cheerful Apex range, as they were a little different from what I’ve come to expect from Filofax – a lot brighter and more cheerful, and the little contrasting colourpops provided by the elastic closures are bang on trend for the season. I set myself the challenge to find a matching outfit for each of the four colours – I really mean the word challenge, as most of my wardrobe consists of boring black and navy, so finding some matching pieces wasn’t always that easy.

Anyway, I hope you like the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. Never thought I would be using diaries as a fashion accessory, but there’s a first for everything, and the Apex range really lended itself to this challenge very easy. If only I had a reason to need 4 diaries simultaneously… FYI, the Apex personal diaries only retail for £26 each.
