Wednesday Wishlist: The Wet Wednesday Edition

Ah, London in June. Beautiful one minute, pouring down with rain the next. This morning I very narrowly avoided getting absolutely soaked and didn’t see it coming. This morning I’d left the house in florals, espadrilles and sunglasses, no umbrella or raincoat in sight. I should have known better. So my near-miss inspired today’s Wednesday Wishlist, a list of waterproof items that don’t necessarily mean you have to trade in your sense of style for keeping dry.
Lipop London “Beetle Hybrid Backpack”, £595, from Wolf and Badger Ok so this is leather and waaaaayyyy too beautiful to actually be running in rainstorms with, but this Lipop London backpack comes with an integrated (and removable) hood and is every design lover’s wet dream. Pardon my pun.
Yellow Plastic Rainmac, £50, from Asos
Burberry Cotton Blend Trench, £650, from Net-A-Porter A rainy day classic investment piece. A Burberry trench is for life… apparently.
Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Green and Navy, £60, Festival Tall Wellies in Pink, Neon Green and Orange, £85 and Original Tall Wellies in Gold, £79, all from Net-A-Porter A footwear classic, now in pretty much every colour you want.
Button Rose Superslim Umbrella, £20, from Cath Kidston Stand out in the sea of black brollies with some lovely floral umbrellas.
Provence Rose Superslim Umbrella, £20, from Cath Kidston
London Tiny Umbrella, £20, from Cath Kidston
Pink “Candy” bag, €200, from Furla You may remember this bag from my “I Want Candy” post. All colours pretty much sold out right away (great design, bright colours, cheap prices – what did you expect), so currently only the black on is available online, but pink should land back on the site mid-June.
Jil Sander Acetate Market Bag, £90 (SOLD OUT, sadly), from Net-A-Porter
