Bright and bold at Dorothy Perkins AW11
For years, Dorothy Perkins sort of slipped under my radar a little bit at the press days. That is, until now. For AW11, DP made a bold and colourful statement, and it worked: I was wowed – probably even more than by big sister Topshop (controversial, I know!)
Colourblocking has been such a trend for the past few seasons and if it’s up to Dorothy Perkins, it isn’t going anywhere just yet, it’s just getting more amplified. There are none of the usual blacks and greys, but head-to-toe looks, from the clothes to shoes to tights to jewellery were all presented in a variety of colours and it just worked. As well as the bright clothes, there were tons of accessories, a party season range, bags, jewellery, coat after coat I need in my cupboard and shoes… oh so many shoes I wanted! Basically, DP rocked it.
