Who was Jacques D’Azur? This notorious film producer, director, actor, tennis player, chess master, water skiing pioneer and all round classy gentleman was also often seen as the King of Cannes back in the Fifties. Playboy, movie star and everybody’s best friend around the glamorous French Riviera back in his day, Jacques’ life story is finally set to hit the screens in a short film produced by Stella Artois. (You’ve probably seen the ads on TV, where they looked for someone to play the role of Jacques).

Well, whilst they’re still on the look for the perfect Jacques – vote here for your favourite – Stella Artois have set me the challenge to find some looks for his date. If Jacques D’Azur is a gentleman with not a hair or cufflink out of place, then his girl has to be a real classy glamour puss. She has a Brigitte Bardot updo, Twiggy eyelashes and not-really-there make up, because she’s just naturally beautiful.

For the red carpet, I imagine Jacques’ date to stand out – not for her crazy outfits, but for her classic simplicity. Red dresses on a red carpet may be a faux pas, but she’s Jacques D’Azur’s date, they’ll change the colour just for her. Simple heels, jewellery and a killer clutch is all this girl needs, she just doesn’t need a meat-dress to turn heads.

When she chills by the pool or on Jacques’ yacht she channels her inner sixties goddess, with a classy one-piece bathing suit, some jewellery, a big hat and sunglasses. She lounges by the pool, but doesn’t actually go in the pool, because that’s way more chic.
