Dorothy Perkins Denim Challenge Day 3: Boy Fit

It’s the third day of the Dorothy Perkins Denim Challenge and I must admit I’m starting to really enjoy myself! I didn’t take all the pics in one go, but take them day by day because I enjoy how this week is evolving and changing me. The nice comments are making me feel a little more daring and bold, so I’m already trying slightly different looks than I would have done last week.
So I know at the start of the week I said I would be styling the jeans how I would really wear them, but if you found an amazing vintage Chanel jacket in your mom’s closet, you’d show it off too, right? Well, I thought today’s boy fit worked perfectly with the jacket. The tomboy feel of the trousers balances out the chicness of the jacket, and I paired it with some chunky heels to even it out – but it works just as well with some white Converse trainers!
The trousers, I must admit, are probably not the curvy girls’ best friend. The lighter dye is not the most flattering, and because they are a little looser, I don’t think they are the most slimming of the bunch – but oh are they comfy! These will definitely be my go-to pair for the weekend. The fold makes short legs like mine look a little shorter, and because these were a regular length, they’re actually much too long for me, so I had to fold them double at the bottom. This again isn’t helping the slimming process. Still, with the right styling – like this long, wonderful jacket – they’ve got potential to become a staple of my daily wardrobe.

Alexander Wang Mini Rocco Handbag (my best bargain on the Outnet ever)
