Life as a freelancer means I get to do many different things. One day I’ll do copywriting, another I get to interview my favourite designers. That’s exactly what I got to do a few weeks ago whilst working on Dressed Up, the in-store magazine for Princess, a well known chain of multibrand stores in Belgium. Our fourth issue has by far been our strongest – you can read the full issue here. In the next few posts, I’m going to present you with a few of the interviews I contributed for this issue .
I was pretty happy when I heard I would get to interview one of my favourite young designer teams, Peter Pilotto, who were very kind to answer my questions despite being amidst the incredibly busy run-up to London Fashion Week. But, the boys met whilst studying in Antwerp after all, and Princess Blue was the first Belgian store to buy their first collection, so they were more than happy to. Now the label is stocked in Princess’ latest venture, the critically acclaimed Renaissance (which is in the beautiful old Yohji Yamamoto store in Antwerp) and Sketch in Knokke.
This is by no means an in-depth interview, but more of an introductory one to acquaint the general public to a still pretty unknown brand.
