H&M announces collaboration with Swedish Hasbeens

Just when you thought clogs had gone…
Fresh off its very successful collaboration with Lanvin, H&M have just announced their latest collaboration with cult shoe (clog) label Swedish Hasbeens.
Swedish Hasbeens have created 3 styles of of their wooden-soled shoes especially for H&M. According to the press release there’s a gladiator-style wedge, with three buckle ankle straps and a progression of straps going over the foot, all sitting on a wooden wedge. This comes in cream, tan on a pale wooden wedge and black on a black base.
The second model is a heeled summer sandal with one ankle strap, which comes in cream and red on a pale wooden base. The third style is a peep-toe slip-on wedge on a wooden sole, with snake-effect leather laced on top. The shoes are available in sizes 36-40 and will be priced between £34.99 – £39.99.
The collection hits stores April 20th.
Personally, I’m not a huge clog fan, but it’s nice to see H&M collaborating with smaller labels, doing something a little more focused than these huge collections. As there’s only 3 styles, the quality will probably be a bit better than what I’ve seen with the previous collaborations.
Will I be buying? No. Besides, I thought (and hoped) clogs was a trend that had truly gone by now… But kudos to H&M for trying something different!
What do you think of the H&M x Swedish Hasbeens collaboration? To clog or not to clog? Let me know!
