In the run up to Christmas I’m going to be posting a series of gift guides for everyone from your boyfriend and girlfriends, wives, husbands, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews,… and of course, for myself. As a true online shopper myself (I hate overcrowded shops, Oxford Street, blaring Christmas music, inevitable panic attacks), these gifts don’t require you to actually leave your home. Win-Win! With a little bit in all price ranges, today’s gift guide is one for the fashionable man, who has an eye for quality, knows his designers and prefers something more unique than the Lost DVD box. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Happy shopping!

PAUL SMITH MULTISTRIPE TRAVEL KIT, £105, Features a striped disposable camera, a Paul Smith toothbrush and men’s flannel. This washbag is the perfect accessory for the fashionable, impulsive weekend away. It’s a gift to yourself, really. is a new online website full of quirky gifts with a typical British element to them. Everything is packed up in a beautiful box too, so it saves you the wrapping…

GILES DEACON X HAPPY SOCKS limited edition box, £60. This limited edition (1000 only) box is numbered, features 7 pairs of socks, 1 for every day of the week, with a different pair designed by designer extraordinaire Giles Deacon. 25% of the proceeds go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation too, so you’d be doing some good at the same time. Can’t go wrong there…

APPLE iPAD, from £429. Do I even need to explain why? Ok then… ever since I got my iPad, I finally understand what the fuss is about. Magazines, pictures, games, online shopping… it all happens in the most beautiful way on the iPad. It’s the ultimate toy and I couldn’t recommend it more. Boys can read their Esquire on there, women their Vogues and whatnots. It fits in any manbag and handbag, so it’s fashionable too. Get it. Little tip: if the Apple stores are sold out during the Christmas periods (which they usually are) try buying them at John Lewis, who have them all in stock!

BYREDO FANTASTIC MAN PERFUME, £125 I love Byredo perfumes either way, they are delicate and their bottles are beautiful and collectable. But this Eau De Cologne is a little bit extra special, as it’s an exclusive collaboration with Fantastic Man magazine.

KG by KURT GEIGER SPIKER SNEAKERS, now £85 Because I like these half-sneakers-half-hiking-boots. That’s all.

ACNE WOOL BEANIE HAT, £40 from Matches. Because even fashionable boys need to keep their heads warm these days.

LOMOGRAPHY DIANA F+ DREAMER CAMERA, £50 from Urban Outfitters. I adore Lomography and these beautiful, retro-style cameras. If I wasn’t such a lazy photographer, I’d have gotten myself one of these ages ago, as there’s just something so special about the pictures taken with these cameras, something that no amount of photoshopping can recreate. Love love love.

A.P.C. NAVY STRIPED SCARF, £115 from Start London. Perfect boyfriend scarf as you can then go and steal it off him. Gotta think smart…

ERDEM FOR GLOBETROTTER 26″ SUITCASE, £779. Hmm who am I kidding. This is for me, clearly. I’d let a fashionable boy carry it for me though… *sigh*

  • have got to say that the ipad is the best gift ever. i got it for fred for his graduation gift a couple months ago and it is the best gift i have ever gotten for him. insanely cool and so useful. definitely a top pick. loving your selection of pieces. that perfume has the most perfect name and that yellow piece of luggage is gorrrrgeous! haha, and also always have the problem of being unsure whether i am secretly picking out a gift that I like… xx
