Kandee Shoes SS11
I’ve been a fan of Kandee shoes for a while, admiring them every time I go into the Push PR showroom (which is… well, regularly). The still very young shoe brand, which was founded by 21-yr-old Josh Wayman only last year, has really been hotting up recently: the stunning AW10 collection which has just hit the online shop and features some stunning studded booties, heels and flats, all with delicious sounding names like Peanut Crunchy and Cherry Bomb. I’d probably buy all of them, but unfortunately they only start from a size 4 – so sadly my miniature size 3 feet won’t fit!
Then yesterday, at the Push PR press day, I got a preview of the upcoming SS11 collection, which had literally just arrived that very morning. The collection is totally different, but you can tell Wayman is really hitting his stride as a shoe designer, enjoying taking risks and using bold designs, flashy colours and extravagantly high heels. Editorially speaking, Kandee’s shoes are every stylist’s dream.
The new collection features some pastel striped pumps and booties, brightly coloured sandals (high and flat) and lots of sparkle. Even though it’s different from the AW collection, there’s definitely a Kandee signature style emerging after 3 seasons. I can’t wait to see what is next – but Kandee is definitely a new and affordable shoe label to keep an eye out for!
