MiH Jeans for Genes

First things first, I know I’ve been away for a while. Those who follow me on twitter will know I was enjoying a much needed holiday in the sun, but more about that in the next post. I fully planned to update and work from there, but the sun, the beach and the friends just made me want to forget about the internet and blogging for a while, so apologies for having disappeared for a bit!
So back to business, and whilst I deal with a week’s worth of emails, hundreds of holiday snaps, 2 broken cameras and a post-holiday hangover that requires another holiday to recover from, I’ll ease back into it slowly.
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the MiH (Made In Heaven) offices for a look at their new AW10 collection. After getting lost (SW10 is really not my neck of the woods!) and arriving beyond fashionably late, I was greeted the lovely Felicity, who showed me around the office and the collection. I fell in love with the softness of the jeans and the building and was so enthralled by it all, I completely forgot to take pictures. NOT ONE. I dragged the big SLR camera there, just to leave it in my bag. Thank god for the less forgetful Esme Benjamin, aka Salute To Style, who went on the same day and DID take some pictures. Just check out her post to see what I’m talking about.
So why bring this up now? Well, the MiH team have joined forces and muscles to compete in the London Triathlon for charity. On August 7th they’ll be running, cycling and swimming for Jeans for Genes (how appropriate, non?), a charity which raises money for care for children and their families affected by genetic disorders, as well as funding ongoing research into the causes and cures for these disorders.
They’ve been in gruelling training for months and you can follow their trials and tribulations on their blog. The girls really need your support – and your pennies – for this great cause, so get your wallets out or go and cheer them on come August 7th, they’ll be the most fashionable team out there!
