Ali Forbes Brooches
On my daily stroll through Internetland, I came across these gorgeous leather brooches on the Kabiri website (I’ve said before and I will again and again, my favourite for discovering new jewellery designers).
These pieces are by young Glaswegian designer Ali Forbes, a recent Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins Graduate (one wasn’t enough?!). They’re made out of leather and have this DIY feel to them – but when you look closer you see they’re just beautifully crafted. In recognition of her talent, miss Forbes won the ITS# 8 Swarovski Crystallized Award and is now actually working for Swarovski in Austria. Prices start at a reasonable £120 a pop, so snap up a bull brooch now before it’s too late.
